Applegreen sponsors Wexford Festival Opera
Wexford Festival Opera has announced a new three-year partnership with Applegreen, the Irish roadside hospitality company who becomes the Official Sponsor of the popular Pocket Opera Programme. Suzanne Nance, Executive Director of Wexford Festival Opera said: “We are delighted to welcome Applegreen as Official Sponsor of our Pocket Operas through a new three-year partnership, beginning during Wexford Festival Opera’s milestone 75th anniversary year.

Irish Independent: Wexford Festival Opera in new British Airways partnership as 75th celebration beckons
Ahead of its landmark 75th anniversary Festival in October, Wexford Festival Opera announced a new partnership with the airline, British Airways. Under this partnership, British Airways will be the Festival’s official airline and production sponsor for Mascagni’s Iris, the highly anticipated production that will open the 2026 Festival on 15th October in Wexford’s National Opera House. Beyond the stage, British Airways will also support the Festival’s learning and engagement programmes.

The new Executive Director of Wexford Festival Opera has been outlining plans for this year’s milestone 75th festival. Suzanne Nance, who took up the role in January, joined Alan Corcoran on the Morning Mix to discuss what audiences can expect from the 2026 programme. This year’s festival will run from October 15th to 31st, with a theme described as “one for the head, one for the heart, and one for fun,” reflecting a mix of dramatic, emotional and entertaining productions.
